Upon departing a larger executive retained search firm, Kristen was determined to build a more custom and client-focused approach to talent solutions. As the Founder and President of Kenton Talent Management (KTM), a boutique talent management and executive recruiting firm, Kristen provides a suite of custom human capital solutions to clients on a national basis.

Previously, Kristen opened the Colorado office as a Principal Consultant and Executive Recruiter for McDermott & Bull, one of the fastest growing retained executive search firms in the Western United States. The company’s leaders came out of DHR International, a top 10 search firm. Earlier, Kristen built and professionalized the research and recruiting function as the Director of Recruiting for the firm. This provided her with a firsthand perspective of comprehensive research techniques within multiple industries and functions.

Kristen is also the Founder of The Executive Women’s Summit, LLC. Women’s Summit Gatherings take place three times per year and were designed to address three primary "spheres" in a woman's life: Business, Social, and Philanthropic. Participation is by-invitation only and limited to executives at the Vice President level or above.

Kristen has a deep commitment to continuously building and nurturing a vast network of executives and trusted advisors. She is known as a “master connector” and enjoys helping others build a professional “sphere of influence.” Kristen possesses a deep understanding of both the art and science behind hiring and retaining strong leaders, and is able to achieve world-class results in record time for her clients.

DICK LAYTON, MANAGING PARTNER, KENTON TALENT MANAGEMENT, LLC.
Dick Layton serves the technology and non-profit market segments at Kenton Talent Management, bringing over twenty years of expertise in these fields to provide executive search services for clients on a national basis. Dick offers his clients the ability to quickly and clearly understand their unique requirements and communicate them effectively to top talent.

Dick's background includes building and leading high performance teams to create and deliver new products and services to customers in a variety of markets. As the SVP of the North American Telecommunications Division of Cap Gemini, Dick and his team built the digital cellular billing system practice from the ground floor. As part of this tremendous growth and change, he oversaw the recruiting and mobilization of 400 employees worldwide. He also led the due diligence effort for a successful acquisition, further expanding the firm to a $100M revenue stream with excellent gross margins.

Dick has also been very active as part of the leadership team with various non-profits. He currently serves on two boards and as an advisor to a third board, building its strategic plan and creating a detailed budget. He also coaches and mentors the current, part-time Executive Director while this board is hiring a full-time leader. From 2006 to 2009, Dick served as a Development Officer for a University in Colorado that operates as a non-profit.

Dick is married with four children and is an avid runner. His passion is helping children and young adults achieve their goals though education and access to resources necessary for success.

Joan Kenton, Pacific Northwest Practice Leader, Kenton Talent Management, LLC.
Joan Kenton leads the Pacific Northwest Region for Kenton Talent Management to provide executive search services for clients on a national basis. Joan has more than two decades of leadership experience across diverse organizational environments and multiple functions in the environmental engineering and contracting, consulting and professional services industries. Prior to joining Kenton Talent Management, Ms. Kenton was the Director of Business Development and Principal for an environmental consulting firm, where she was responsible for leading the firm in strategic growth initiatives, market penetration, corporate branding and relationship development. During her tenure, the firm was consistently ranked as one of the fastest growing minority firms in the region during the great recession. As a business manager, she has led numerous firms as a change agent resulting in service and market expansion, increased margins, and greater employee retention. Joan also has a deep understanding of the federal market sector and industry dynamics.

Joan specializes in the A&E and environmental industry from mid to senior level positions. She also fulfills clients’ needs at the director, partner and managing consultant levels, plus C-suite executives, board positions and senior level searches across multiple industries. Joan has her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Kansas.

Camille Brightsmith, Executive Recruiter, Kenton Talent Management, LLC.
As an Executive Recruiter at Kenton Talent Management, Camille provides a suite of custom executive recruiting solutions to clients on a national basis. She will continue to build the firm’s competitive research techniques within multiple industries and functions.

Camille Brightsmith comes from a background in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, California. Prior to working for Kenton Talent, Camille worked for C-Level Executives as a Personal and Executive Assistant handling everything from Board presentations to management of executive support staff and editing company-wide strategic plans. During her tenure in Los Angeles, Camille also worked as Director of Music Affairs for NBC/Universal/Telemundo for over a decade. As Director of the Music Group, Camille managed a diverse team, on two coasts in both Spanish and English. The team handled negotiating and licensing of musical intellectual property for national programming, in addition to creative oversight of music themes for in-house programming like the National News.

Early in her career, Camille supported a small staff of Executive Recruiters in building Sony Pictures’ Digital Special Effects house (Sony Pictures Imageworks). As part of the international recruiting team, she was responsible for growing Imageworks from a skeleton crew to an Oscar winning group of over one hundred people. Camille project managed a company relocation, juggling production schedules and transportation of extremely sensitive equipment.

In addition to raising twins, Camille enjoys supporting efforts to protect and grow public lands and serving on Boards for women’s organizations. She loves spending time in the Colorado mountains and playing music with friends.
